Frequently Asked Questions

Everything couples ask us most, in one place. If you don't see your question here, reach out directly and we'll walk you through it.

Getting Started

Booking & Pricing

Most of our couples book 9–12 months out, and popular weekends in peak season fill even earlier. If your date is coming up sooner, reach out anyway. We'll always let you know honestly if we're available.

Every package includes one videographer, a second shooter, a set timeframe of on-location filming, drone footage, full audio, and a cinematic narrative film. A full edit of your ceremony isn't included in every package. That's available as an add-on, along with things like extra coverage hours. We'll send over a full breakdown once we know your date and vision.

Yes, a retainer is required to officially hold your date, with the remaining balance due before the wedding day. This is standard across the industry and ensures we're fully committed to you the moment you book.

We accept Zelle, Apple Pay, Venmo, and Stripe (via invoice). All contracts and payments are handled securely through our private client portal, so your invoice, contract, and payment schedule all live in one place you can access anytime.

On The Day

Your Wedding Day

Yes, we use discreet wireless microphones on you and/or your officiant so your vows are captured clearly. They're small, comfortable, and barely noticeable once you're in the moment. We'll walk you through exactly how it works ahead of time so there are no surprises.

Most weddings are well covered with 8–10 hours, typically starting with getting-ready details and running through the first dance or send-off. If your day has a longer timeline or multiple locations, we'll recommend coverage that fits your specific schedule.

Yes. Our photo + video bundle is one of our most requested options. A coordinated team captures both, so you get a complete visual story of your day without hiring two separate vendors.

Yes, a second shooter is built into every package. A second angle means we catch reactions, details, and moments happening simultaneously, like your partner's face during the first look and your own, both sides of the aisle, both parents tearing up at once.

After The Wedding

Delivery & Timeline

Your highlight film and gallery are typically delivered within 8–12 weeks. Every wedding is edited individually and with care, so timing can shift slightly depending on season, and we'll always keep you updated along the way.

You'll get a private online gallery to view, download, and share your film and photos, plus a guest-friendly link so family and friends can relive the day too.

Yes, we set up a shareable guest gallery so everyone who was there can relive the day, not just the two of you.

Emotionally driven and story-first. We're less interested in a generic wedding-industry look and more in capturing how your day actually felt, the real reactions, real vows, real people. Every film is cut to tell your specific story, not a template.

Beyond Indianapolis

Travel & Destination Weddings

Absolutely, we love them. We're based in Indianapolis but shoot weddings nationwide and are always open to discussing your destination, wherever it is.

Travel is quoted separately based on your location and typically covers flights, lodging, and ground transportation. We'll give you a clear, itemized number up front, no surprise costs later.

Often, yes. Arriving a day early lets us scout the venue, plan around light and weather, and walk your timeline in person before the day itself. We'll factor this into your proposal if it applies.

Behind The Scenes

Equipment

We shoot on the Canon EOS C70, Canon EOS C80, and Canon EOS R50 V for our cameras, with Canon 24-105mm EF and RF lenses and an RF 50mm for our primary glass, a gimbal for smooth, cinematic movement, and the DJI Mini 5 Pro for aerial footage.

For audio, we use RØDE Wireless PRO microphone systems paired with Tascam DR-10L bodypack recorders, plus a Tascam recorder as a dedicated backup so your vows and audio are always captured clean and safe.

All footage is backed up to a UGREEN 2-bay NAS system alongside dedicated backup drives, so your wedding day is never sitting in just one place.

Your Deliverables

Types of Final Film Versions

  • Documentary Edit: a full, unscripted version of your ceremony or speeches. Often included as an add-on rather than a standard package item.
  • Highlight Film: the emotional core of your day, edited into a short, cinematic story.
  • Teaser Video: a short, shareable preview of your film, perfect for posting right after your wedding. Included with our highest package or available as an add-on otherwise.
  • Full Feature Film: the most complete version of your day, telling your full story from start to finish.

Which of these are included depends on your package, and we're always happy to walk you through what fits your day.

Our Approach

Our Narrative Style

A narrative film tells your wedding day as a story, not just a sequence of clips. Instead of moving through the day in a straight, moment-by-moment timeline, we build the film around the feeling and meaning of your relationship, weaving together vows, real reactions, and quiet in-between moments into one cohesive story.

This is our signature style at Eliora Films. Every film is edited to feel personal and emotionally driven, so watching it back feels like reliving your day, not just seeing it.

What To Expect

How We Run Things

Once you're booked, we stay in touch leading up to your wedding to make sure everything's dialed in. About a month out, we'll sit down together to go over your full-day timeline, run through any last details, and talk through what happens after the wedding, including delivery timing and what to expect once your film and photos are ready.

Yes. We carry liability insurance and are happy to provide proof of coverage if your venue requires it.

We have a network of trusted backup videographers we can call on in an emergency, so your day is never left uncovered.

We've filmed in every kind of weather. If rain or an unexpected change moves your day indoors or under cover, we adapt on the spot. We'll talk through any backup location with you ahead of time so we're never scrambling on the day itself.

Raw footage isn't included in our standard packages but is available as a paid add-on if you'd like it.

You're welcome to choose the music style for your film, within the music we're licensed to use. Beyond that, the style, pacing, and overall edit follow our artistic approach. Most couples book us because they connect with how we tell a story, and every film ends up looking a little different since that approach shifts with each couple's day.
